Former Governor Granholm’s Daughter Making A Difference For Detroit

DETROIT, Mich. — Former Governor, Jennifer Granholm’s daughter is now in the running to help revitalize the city of Detroit.

The program is called “Challenge Detroit“, which is a leadership and professional development program that rallies together a group of thirty participants to draw people back into the city.

Granholm’s daughter, Kate Mulhern posted a videoto Youtube in order to apply for the program and is one of 150 candidates. Jennifer is even asking her twitter fans to support Kate for a spot in the program.

This is the second year for “Challenge Detroit” which promotes people to work , play and live in the greater Detroit area for
a year.

The goal for the 30 participants is to live in the area, while working for 32 hours a week at their host company. They will then participate with local organizations and conduct numerous social and cultural activities in the city. Ten monthly team challenges are then set up to engage both the 30 participants and followers.

Around thirty organizations will be apart of the challenge.
