Rain Moves Out, Fog Moves In

Posted

(WEST MICHIGAN) — Rain showers this morning have all but moved out of West Michigan, however moisture from the rain earlier is causing problems with fog in many areas especially the Lakeshore.

Visibilities have dropped below two miles in many areas from St. Joseph to South Haven and inland towards Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. Winds will start to pick up this afternoon and slowly erode the foggy conditions. Winds will become gusty towards late afternoon with wind gusts in excess of 25 miles per hour. Cooler air moves in for tonight with temperatures dropping into the 20’s. Factor in gusty winds and a chance for some light snow flurries and it will feel more like the beginning of December rather than the beginning of April. Chilly, snowy weather will be short-lived however as temperatures rebound into the 50’s by the end of the week.
