WEST MICHIGAN – While spring may have officially entered the picture on March 20, it hasn’t completely felt like it. That said, warmer temps are on the way after a brief cool down Monday and Tuesday.

The attached graphic is from the Climate Prediction Center. They are a division of NOAA, the National Weather Service, and are a group of meteorologists who spend their time looking at computer forecast models and upper level patterns to determine what the longer range forecast may bring. The seven to 14 day outlook graphic was just made on Easter Sunday. It’s showing a good chance of above normal temperatures for the eastern third (almost the eastern half) of the nation from April 8 through the 14.

Whereas our normal high for this time of year is around 50, look for temperatures to be above that during the second week of April according to the CPC. You can also click here for the CPC precipitation outlook for the same time period. It unfortunately looks wet too!
