LANSING, Mich. – Significant changes to Michigan’s medical marijuana laws kick in Monday.

According to Examiner.com, doctors must now complete face-to-face medical evaluations with medical marijuana patients, review their relevant medical records, and assess their medical condition and history. Doctors will also have to follow-up with patients after providing the certification.

The new laws will also extend the one-year registry cards to two years.
