WEST MICHIGAN – If April showers bring May flowers, we may have a whole bunch come May first. What seems to be an active pattern is beginning to take shape for much of the week.

Some forecast models are hinting at the possibility of two or three inches of liquid precipitation (rain) from Monday through Thursday. What we don’t know is how the temperatures will shake out. Some long-range models are indicating that temps may warm well into the 60s, perhaps 70 by mid-week, while others are keeping a front just south of Michigan. If the front stays south, temps will be on the cooler side!

The attached snapshot is from our FOX 17 FutureTrack HD computer forecast and is valid for Monday at 3:00 PM. It shows rain, perhaps even a few thunder showers moving through parts of the state. More rain is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday also.

Make sure to stay tuned to later forecasts over the next couple days. Suffice to say that the week will be wet, active, and unsettled. You can always get radar images,  temperature maps, satellite, and other weather information at www.fox17online.com/weather. Have a good week.
