Another Overnight Accident On Mercury Drive in Grand Haven Township

GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich- A 43 year old Grand Haven Township man and his passenger, a 43 year old woman also from Grand Haven Township, were involved in a single car accident on Mercury Drive near Bignell Drive Saturday Night in Grand Haven Township.

According to Ottawa County Sheriffs’ Department the driver was heading south east on Mercury Drive when the driver lost control of his 2007 Chevy Silverado and struck the guardrail on the west side of the road. Then the truck crossed the center line and struck the guardrail on the east side of the road. The truck then flipped over the guardrail and landed on its wheels in the marsh by the Grand River.

The driver and passenger were injured in the accident and were taken to a local hospital where they are in stable condition.

They were wearing their seat belts.

Alcohol was a factor in this accident.
