G.R. Mayor Heartwell to Celebrate Earth Day This Week

mayorgeorgeheartwell_grcitydotusGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Mayor George Heartwell will celebrate Earth Day on Wednesday with the Clark Retirement Community.

The event features a presentation from Mayor Heartwell and the retirement community on the efforts that they, along with the City of Grand Rapids, have taken in order to preserve resources and enhance sustainability.

There will also be 15 different companies from the area who will share their sustainability efforts and show participants how they can help. Included in that lineup are Consumers Energy, DTE Energy, Waste Management and Habitat for Humanity Restore.

The event takes place at the Clark Retirement Community from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and is open to the public.

    He could celebrate earth day by fixing the earth people drive on. I spent 2 hrs. in GR and lost 3 wheel weights and had to balance all four tires, while I was at it got a front end alignment too. WHAT A DUMP, GR. used to be a decent place to visit, but NO THANKS!!!!
