Search for Benton Harbor Homicide Suspect Leads to Kalamazoo

BENTON HARBOR,Mich. — The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is asking the public to be on the lookout for a suspect that’s wanted for a deadly shooting that happened on Friday.

Officers responded to 632 Madison Street in Benton Harbor to find 24 year old Tanita Broyles suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  The initial investigation revealed a male suspect had fled the scene of the shooting prior to the officer’s arrival.

That suspect was later identified as 21 year old Isaha Casnave of Benton Harbor.  During the investigation, leads were established Casnave was possibly in the COGIC Village in Kalamazoo.

The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, the Michigan State Police and the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department TRU Team assisted with a search in that area, but Casnave wasn’t located.

Casnave is considered armed and dangerous by authorities and should not be approached if located.  He’s currently wanted on a murder warrant.
