Sewage Overflow In Deer Creek; No Body Contact Advisory Issued

COOPERSVILLE, Mich. – The City of Coopersville has issued a no body contact advisory for Deer Creek because of a sanitary sewage overflow.

The Ottawa County Health Department was notified of the advisory on April 18, which is effective immediately and in effect until further notice.

Deer Creek is an inlet to the Grand River to Lake Michigan in Ottawa County.

According to City of Coopersville, everyone should avoid any kind of contact with these waters until the advisory is lifted.
