Grand River In Grand Rapids Now Below Flood Stage

GRAND RAPIDS — (FOX 17) — As of 4:45 Thursday afternoon, the Grand River in Downtown Grand Rapids has fallen below flood stage. The current level is now 17.9 feet, just under the flood stage of 18.0 feet. Today’s level is about four feet below the record flooding that occurred this past weekend. This picture was taken at the height of the flood.

Other areas are still experiencing flooding. Comstock Park and Robinson Township are still under flood warnings, with the levels not expected to fall below flood stage until Sunday or Monday. For a look at the latest river stages across West Michigan, clickHERE.
