Former “Lost Boy” Set To Graduate Sunday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich-  On Sunday, a student who came here from a war-torn country in Africa will be graduating from Davenport University.

Nathan Chol will be one of more than two thousand people to walk across the stage at Van Andel Arena. He was granted permission to enter the United States as a refugee back in 2001. He came here as a “Lost Boy From Sudan” which is the title that was given to thousands of boys who were either orphaned or displaced during the civil war there.

On Sunday, Nathan will earn his bachelor’s from Davenport. After that, he plans to get his Masters from the school.
