1,800 Gallons Of Sewage Spills Out On Kalamazoo Street

West Michigan's Most Wanted: Four Kalamazoo MurdersKALAMAZOO, Mich- The City of Kalamazoo was notified Saturday Morning about sewage overflowing out of manhole located at 2041 Saxonia Lane. Untreated raw sewage was released on to the street about 120 feet away from the sanitary manhole.

Kalamazoo Department of Publice Services was able to remove the blockage late Saturday afternoon. The amount of of sewage that was released was about 1,800 gallons. Right now, the City of Kalamazoo Department of Public Services is advising all people to avoid the area of the spill until the area is assessed

If any contact with raw sewage is made, clean and disinfect shoes, clothes, and skin thoroughly.
