TWIN LAKE & MUSKEGON, Mich. — As warm weather and sunshine continue, families will be able to enjoy the newest event in Muskegon county: Free County Parks Day.
Pioneer and Twin Lake Parks will have a full day of events that are meant to teach families about what the parks have to offer as well as the importance of recreation and safety outside.
Activities include wildlife displays by the Lakeshore Sportsmen, a petting zoo, a fire safety demonstration from the Dalton Township Fire Department, and their spray house and bounce house.
There will be a raffle for 18 annual county parks passes, which would allow the winners year-round access to all county parks. Those raffles will be held at both parks 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 and 1:30 p.m., and they are free to enter.
Visitors will also have the chance to meet State Senator Geoff Hansen and Representatives Marcia Hovey-Wright and Collene Lamonte.
The events will be held on May 4 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and they are free of charge.
