GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Drivers will need to watch for areas of dense fog across much of West Michigan Monday morning.

Visibility around or less than one-quarter of a mile is likely, especially in areas south of Grand Rapids that saw some rain showers during the day Sunday.  Lakeshore communities will also see some dense fog in spots.

The fog is resulting in some school delays — click here for the updated list.

A cold front will stall out and dissipate across the western Great Lakes over the next couple of days, keeping West Michigan in a flow of warm air through midweek.  That will push temperatures near 80° for Tuesday and Wednesday.

However, that cold front will also generate some scattered showers and thunderstorms at times.  Some of those may move into West Michigan, but the overall rain chances are not all that high at any given time.  The best rain chances come later in the week, but a few showers or storms are likely on Tuesday as well.
