GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Many parts of West Michigan will wake up to scattered thunderstorms Tuesday morning.

A broken line of storms is accompanying a surge of warmth and moisture that will continue to move into the region Tuesday.  The most widespread activity will be north and west of Grand Rapids, although most locations will see at least a brief shower or storm.

Once the line of storms moves out of the area (likely by midday), warm and windy conditions will develop with temperatures pushing well into the 70s.  Some areas may approach 80°, although cooler conditions can be expected at the immediate lakeshore.

Dry weather will likely hold through Wednesday, although an isolated pop-up thunderstorm is not out of the question.  Highs away from Lake Michigan will top 80° in most places Wednesday.
