KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Two women face charges in the death of Trevor Stuck in a double crash last November.
Kari Anne Braley, 24, is charged with driving drunk when she failed to make the curve on the US-131 BL north of Kalamazoo and rolling the vehicle into the median. Stuck, along with two others, was ejected. All the occupants of the vehicle were first responders for PRIDE Care.
Margaret Audrey Robinson, 23, is charged with a moving violation for failing to negotiate the same curve and crashing into the first accident as victims were being tended to.
A nurse and an off-duty Kalamazoo County deputy had stopped to care for the injured in the rollover when the second vehicle struck them, a passenger from the rolled vehicle, and Stuck.
Braley, of Kalamazoo, turned herself in and is in Kalamazoo County Jail facing two counts of operating while intoxicated causing death and one count of operating while intoxicated causing injury, all felonies.
Robinson, of Portage, is charged with one count of committing a moving violation causing death and two counts of committing a moving violation causing serious impairment of bodily function, all misdemeanors. She was arrested and released on bond.
