VARNA, Illinois- The Marshall County Coroner’s office says two truck drivers were killed on Wednesday on Illinois Route 89. The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. on Route 89 just north of Varna, Illinois. Officers on the scene say the trucks collided head-on and closed the road for about five hours.
The coroner says the two drivers have been identified as 30 year old Matthew Luna of Peoria Heights, Illinois and 47 year old Carl Venwy of South Haven.
An autopsy will be performed on Friday.
