WEST MICHIGAN — After record flooding over the past few weeks in West Michigan, the last flood advisory was cancelled Tuesday evening. The Grand River at Ionia fell below bankfull, and as a result, there are no river flood advisories or warnings in effect for any parts of West Michigan.

Nothing underscores how much the rivers have fallen more than the Grand River at Grand Rapids. After a record flood stage of 21.85 feet on April 22, the level as of 8pm Tuesday is 8.1 feet. In other words, the water level has fallen nearly 14 feet in just over two weeks. This is an average of roughly a foot per day. There is more rain in the forecast this week, but it should not create any additional flooding problems. For the latest forecast, join us on FOX 17 News, or visit the weather page at http://www.fox17online.com/weather
