BLUE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One person died and another suffered life-threatening injuries in a car-motorcycle crash Tuesday night in northern Muskegon County.

The fatality was identified as Christopher Davis, 27, of Twin Lake.

The crash occurred at 8:49 p.m. Tuesday at White Lake Drive and Carmen Avenue in Blue Lake Township. Investigation by Michigan State Police showed Davis, on the motorcycle with a passenger westbound on White Lake Drive, struck a eastbound Chevrolet Impala driven by Tabatha Morrison, 32, also of Twin Lake.

Davis’s passenger was treated at Hackley Hospital and is expected to recover. Morrison’s 11-year-old daughter, who was in the car, was also treated at local hospital and is expected to recover.

A statement from MSP said that speed, alcohol, and use of narcotics were all factors in the crash.

The roadway was closed for about three hours.

State police are looking for more information on the crash. If you saw something but haven’t spoken to police, contact Trooper Matt Demny at the Michigan State Police Rockford Post/Grand Haven Detachment at (616) 866-4411, extension 4432.

I really hope you have your facts straight as it was reported on MLive "Police also found narcotics on the motorcycle rider, but Demny could not say whether that played a role in the accident as well." This was a family member, the family is devastated!!!
