Overnight Shooting Sends One Person to Hospital

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A shooting early Wednesday morning has sent a male victim to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Shots were fired shortly before 2:00 a.m. at 815 Flat St. NE.  Police say a male had been shot in the arm and leg, and was rushed to receive medical treatment.  He is expected to be okay.

Officers learned that a male suspect had shot the victim with a silver hand gun.  They have been attempting to track him down, but so far nobody has been taken into custody.

The circumstances behind the shooting are not yet clear.

    We get a description of the gun but not the person who actually committed the crime?
    It almost looks as if the gun is being blamed…
    How can the public be expected to help, or protect itself without the necessary information to do so..
