WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — Ever since April 29, high temperatures have been in the 70s and 80s across most of West Michigan. However, a change is on the way to some much cooler weather. That transition Thursday night is leading to some showers and even the possibility of thunderstorms.

This image from FOX 17 radar shows heavy rain across parts of Barry, Ottawa, and Muskegon Counties. Although there is a chance of a thunderstorm, I do not expect any severe weather.

Behind this rain, temperatures will be much colder Friday. Although the high temperature will be near 60º, that will likely be around Midnight. The rest of the day, temperatures will be closer to 50º. Even colder air arrives Sunday and Monday. There is a chance of a frost and a freeze by Sunday night.
