MIDDLEVILLE, Mich.- The Barry County Emergency Manager says around 6:00pm Friday a baggie containing a suspicious white powder was sent through the drive-thru bank window prompting a hazardous material investigation.

The powder was tested on scene and determined not to be a health hazard just after midnight Saturday morning.

Three bank employees were kept inside the bank during the investigation.

The powder will now be turned over to the Barry County Sheriff’s Department for further investigation.
