Armed Robbery at MetroPCS Store

KENTWOOD, Mich. – The Kent County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a MetroPCS store in Kentwood.

It happened Monday evening at the store located at 6080 Kalamazoo Ave.  Deputies say a clerk reported that a man armed with a weapon entered the store and demanded money.  After getting an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect ran from the scene without further incident.

Both the Grand Rapids and Kentwood Police Departments set up a perimeter and attempted to track the suspect, but were unsuccessful.
