PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The West Michigan Miracle League is breaking ground on a new specialized baseball field at noon on Wednesday. It’s located at the Art Van Sports Complex on 10 Mile Road in Plainfield Township.
The organization provides children with mental and physical disabilities an opportunity to experience America’s favorite pastime.
The Miracle Field will feature 15,000 square feet of custom-designed, rubberized turf that accommodates wheelchairs, walkers and other assistive devices while helping to prevent injuries.
The baseball field is expected to be completed this summer, and kids will begin playing ball in September.
