WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — After an active afternoon Monday with severe thunderstorms, a quiet evening is ahead. There are no watches or warnings in effect at this time.

Later tonight, another round of showers and thunderstorms may wake you up a little earlier than normal. This image from our in-house computer models shows the rain and storms arriving around 4:00am. While these storms are not expected to be severe, it’s something we will be watching throughout the night. I’ll have an update on FOX 17 News at 10, and of course Jon Shaner will track any storms during FOX 17 Morning News, which starts at 5am.

Monday’s storms produced a lot of reports of hail, including 1.75″ diameter hail near Rodney and 1.00″ hail near Ada. There was also some flash flooding on some of the area roadways thanks to the heavy rain. Winds were gusty in some spots as well, peaking at 73 miles per hour near Alma.
