GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for most of West Michigan that remains in effect until 8:00 P.M.
As of 12:30 P.M., thunderstorms were already developing along and near the Lake Michigan shoreline. Storms will continue to develop and move through West Michigan during the afternoon.
The greatest threat from severe storms Monday will be damaging straight-line wind gusts and hail in excess of quarter size.
