POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, Okla. (CNN) – More than two dozen tornadoes have been reported across five different states, killing at least one man and injuring dozens of others.

Early Monday morning, a tornado touched down in Missouri, and tore through two counties.  The number of injuries and extent of damage were not immediately clear.

On Sunday, the rash of storms struck Oklahoma the hardest.  One man was killed in Pottawatomie County, where a twister reduced homes in a trailer park to little more than piles of debris.

As many as 28 tornadoes were reported in Oklahoma, Kansas, Illinois and Iowa, according to the National Weather Service.
