HASTINGS, Mich. — The search for a man who possibly fell out of a boat on Thornapple Lake focused Thursday morning on Terry Foster, 54.

A boat was found in the lake around 6:30 a.m. circling under its own power. A dog was its only occupant.

Crews from the Barry County Dive Team, Michigan State Police dive team, and the MSP Underwater Recovery unit, spent the morning searching for Foster. Officers also checked Foster’s house and hoped to talk to family members.

A spokesman said the last time Foster was seen was 8 p.m. Wednesday.
