Shots Fired During Robbery Attempt

HOLLAND, Mich.- Holland Department of Public Safety officers are still looking for two men who tried to break into a house early Thursday morning.

It happened around 1:40am in the 200 block of Pine Avenue. Victims in the house say two men broke in and threatened one of them with a gun. The other resident tried to help and fought with the robbers. After getting a chance to escape, the resident grabbed some passersby who stopped to help.

While fighting, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and fired two shots but didn’t hit anyone. Both suspects ran from the house.

Officers brought in K-9 dogs but couldn’t track the suspects. Two of the victims had minor injuries but didn’t have to go to the hospital.
