Mechanical Failure Causes Driver To Crash Into A High School

vickburge crashVICKSBURG,Mich. — According to the Vicksburg Police Department a driver traveling eastbound on E. Highway Street on Friday had a mechanical failure to the vehicle and his gas pedal stuck.  The Driver went off-road, and crashed into the south side of  Vicksburg High School. The driver sustained a minor injury to his nose.  A student was also injured by flying debris, and only suffered a minor injury.  The driver, and student were treated at the scene by South County EMS, and not transported to the hospital.

No charges or citation will be issued to the incident being a mechanical failure.
