WEST MICHIGAN – The attached photo shows a snapshot of radar as of Saturday afternoon. The movement of rain is mainly to the west, but it’s not expected to arrive until Sunday afternoon/evening.

With an east to southeast wind over the next day or so, drier air will battle the wet weather trying to move in from the west. While the possibility exists for a shower or thundershower Sunday afternoon/evening, widespread wet weather isn’t likely until Sunday night in to Monday as a low pressure area approaches the state.

Temperatures will stay very much on the comfortable side the next couple days. As our Chief Meteorologist Rick Mecklenburg recently stated in a posting, “our air conditioners will likely sit idle most (perhaps all) of this week.” I concur!

On another note, I just got my garden tomato plants in the ground on Friday. Certainly later than what most of us probably get around to, but at least the threat of frost at this point is minimal. For the complete West Michigan forecast click over to www.fox17online.com/weather.
