COOPERSVILLE, Mich. – One woman’s organization is trying to help young people with disabilities by using a software that helps them “tell a story”.

Lori’s Voice is an organization that was all started by Lori Hastings, a woman who has written numerous children’s books from using her voice-activated software. Lori was diagnosed with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy and now strives to help children with muscular, neurological, and other degenerative diseases by using the same software.

Her annual Walk-A-Thon takes place June 15 from 9- 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church located at 15164 Juniper Drive, Marne Michigan.
