GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Many kids are enjoying their first full week of summer vacation. While they might be ecstatic to sleep in, eventually, boredom may set in for some children. There are a number of day camps and events being offered around West Michigan.

Starting  June 10, every Monday throughout the summer from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. the Kent County Recycling & Education Center, 977 Wealthy SW, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49504 will have various activities for families. Ages 5 and up will do a different craft each week featuring recyclable materials. On June 10, bring an empty toilet paper or paper towel tube to make a bird feeder.

Kendall College of Art & Design has a wide range of activities that will be featured for kids starting on June 10. Topics range from video game design, drawing, architecture and traveling with your camera to project-a-day sewing. The cost is $295 per student and it includes all of the needed supplies but students will need to bring a brown bag lunch. You must register one week prior to each camp.
