GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — At times it is tough to remember that Petr Mrazek is a rookie.

The 21-year old goaltender has stepped right in and taken full control of the Griffins crease this season. He’s started every single game in the postseason and has rewritten the Griffins record book with four shutouts in the playoffs.

Mrazek is 13-7 in the Calder Cup playoffs with a 2.21 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage. But for as much as he’s shown this season, the Detroit Red Wings feel like they still need to see more from the young netminder. For more check out the video.

So Ken Holland thinks he's not as consistent in the playoffs? So they are up 2-0 in the Calder Cup… somewhere they have never been before with a 21yr old rookie and that's all he has to say about Petr. Not about what a record setting ALL STAR first season he has had.. He is clearly one of the biggest reasons they are there, not to mention the workload he has had. This is the most he have EVER played in his career and the most for a goalie BY FAR in the AHL.. I am sure he is exhausted and the Wings brass compliment him with "inconsistent"…what a joke they are and how disrespectful to say in that clip .. I am sure lot of teams would welcome him.
