Motorcyclist Runs Into Trailer

NEWBURG TOWNSHIP, Mich.- A motorcyclist is in critical condition this morning after running into the back of a utility trailer on Thursday night.

Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies say the accident happened on M-60 near Bair Lake Street around 6pm. Deputies say 58-year-old Dustin Hetmansperger from Three Rivers was pulling a utility trailer and went to turn into a driveway when the motorcyclist hit it.

59-year-old Thomas Clark from Jones was the one driving the motorcycle. He was thrown off the bike after hitting the trailer and wasn’t wearing a helmet. Aero-Med was called in to take Clark to the hospital, where he is currently in critical condition.

Hetmensperger, who was driving the truck, wasn’t hurt in the accident. Sheriff’s Deputies are still investigating the crash.
