New Bill Would End Gas Chamber Euthanization for Dogs

A new bill would outlaw animal shelter facilities used to gas chamber dogs as a form of euthanization. The bill was unanimously approved the Michigan Senate’s Agricultural Committee .Most animal shelters have stopped using gas chambers, but four counties still have the ability to euthanize dogs this way, including three in our area: Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties.
