Lightning Strike Causes A Bank Fire In Plainfield Township

PLAINFEILD¬†TOWNSHIP, Mich. — According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office Crews responded to a fire in the 6800 block of Belding Road. A passerby called in reports that smoke was coming from the Huntington Bank building. Fire officials say a lightning strike sparked a fire in the attic. No reports of damage at this time.
