WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — Parts of West Michigan remain under a severe thunderstorm watch until Midnight. The main threat from the storms is large hail and damaging winds.

The watch includes most areas along and south of I-94, including Branch, Calhoun, St. Joseph, Berrien, and Cass Counties.

This image from FOX 17 radar shows quite a few showers and thunderstorms in southern sections of the viewing area. Movement is to the east.

So far, there have been reports of large hail and some wind damage in the counties that border Indiana. In Marcellus, for example, there was a report of one inch hail.

These storms will persist for the next several hours. I’ll have an update on FOX 17 News at 10. For a look at the radar anytime, visit the weather page atwww.fox17online.com/weather
