PORT SHELDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Authorities have confirmed that the name of the 19-year-old male critically injured after his car went over a guard rail Wednesday is Javier Tinoco of Holland Township.
Tinoco was heading westbound on Croswell Drive, when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the Lakeshore Avenue intersection, sending his car over the rail and into a wooded area. His 2003 Toyota hit several trees before coming to a stop at the bottom of the embankment.
He was pried from the vehicle by Port Sheldon Fire Department and transported to Holland Hospital by the North Ottawa Ambulance. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
