14 New Restaurants Join Restaurant Week 2013 Lineup

6.27 restaurant weekGRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Experience Grand Rapids is announcing its lineup for August 2013.

This summer’s event happens from Aug. 14 through Aug. 24, and 14 new restaurants so far are joining the more than 50 returning restaurants to offer great deals to customers. The theme of the year is all about showcasing Michigan’s summer harvest. Restaurants are encouraged to feature items such as tomatoes, beets, fresh fruits, Lake Michigan perch, grass-fed beef and much more.

The new restaurants joining this year’s Restaurant Week include:

  • Bistro Chloe Elan
  • Bombay Cuisine
  • Crooked Goose
  • El Barrio
  • El Granjero
  • Grand Rapids Brewing Company
  • Green Restaurant
  • G’s Grill
  • Ju Sushi Lounge
  • Kitchen 67
  • Licari’s Sicilian Pizza Kitchen
  • Lindo Mexico Restaurant
  • Rezervoir Lounge
  • Trattoria Di Stagione

You can pick up a map of all participating restaurants at any Founders Bank & Trust branch, or at Ferris Coffee and Nut, at 227 Winter Avenue NW in Grand Rapids.

The Grand Cocktail contest also returns this year. Participating restaurants can enter two different drinks. One is for the “Best Creative Cocktail” and the other is for the “Best Manhattan.” The drinks must include Woodford Reserve craft bourbon. The public can taste the cocktails and vote online, and qualified judges are also selecting first and second-place winners in each category.
