Making A Splash In City Pools

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Get ready to beat the heat, the city’s pools open tomorrow on July 1st.

The Briggs, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Richmond Park pools will be open until August 17th. The Briggs Park pool is located at Lafayette and Knapp NE and is open from 12:30pm-5pm Monday through Wednesday. The rest of the week from Thursday through Saturday, it’s open from 12:30pm-7pm.

 The Martin Luther King, Jr. pool at Fuller and Franklin SE is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 12:30pm-7:00pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, it’s open from 12:30pm-5pm.

The Richmond Park pool at Richmond and Tamarack NW is open from 12:30pm-5pm on Mondays. The rest of the week from Tuesday through Saturday, it’s open from 12:30pm-7:00pm.

If you’re planning on heading out to the pools, there are different fees for residents and non-residents. For residents, it’s $2.00 for 18 and up, $1.00 for ages 1-17 and free to kids under one. For non-residents it’s $4.00 for everyone older than one.
