One Hurt in Ottawa County Crash After Man Fell Asleep At Wheel

Ottawa County SheriffGRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One woman was injured and sent to the hospital after a three-car crash on U.S. 31 at Ferris Street Monday evening.

According to Ottawa County Sheriffs, Chase Hannusch, 21, was driving southbound when he fell asleep at the wheel and hit another vehicle, which was thrown into another lane and hit a third vehicle.

His sister, Lessa Ledbetter, 28, of Tucson, Ariz., was the only one hurt.  She was sent to North Ottawa Community Hospital with minor injuries. Hannasch, a resident of Lafayette, Ind., was cited for careless driving.
