Virus Spreads at Michigan Int. Speedway During Tough Mudder Event

Michigan_International_SpeedwayBROOKLYN, Mich. — Lenawee County health officials say that dozens of people have contracted a virus after participating in the Tough Mudder event at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn last weekend.

According to Lenawee County Health Officer Patricia Bourgeois, more than 20,000 people could be exposed to a norovirius that is causing nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and fever.  Most people had these symptoms about 24 hours after the race.

If you were at the event and got sick call the Lenawee County Health Department at 517-264-5243.

    So sorry to hear that, I had gotten that back in 2010 and don't know where I had picked it up. all I can figure is off a Cart at the store. It's the only place I had been. I feel for these people because it was the worse illness I had ever been through.Praying for you all. Linda in Jackson, MI
