GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – You might have already caught a glimpse of the “walking dead” roaming the streets of Grand Rapids Saturday night. But get ready. More rotting bodies are heading downtown Sunday for a new independent film being shot in several West Michigan cities.

It’s called “Beyond the Dark”, and this horror flick includes two different “zombie walk” segments in cities like Grand Rapids, Wyoming, Rockford, Cedar Springs, and Sand Lake.

Grand Rapids natives Matthew Arzeszak and Ross Scharphorn have returned from Los Angeles, California to shoot in their 22nd film.

“More than 200 actors from across the country are involved in this film, and the zombie walk involves scores of West Michigan actors dedicated to making a quality independent film, ” said Scharphorn, who also works as a stunt driver in Hollywood, California.

“Beyond the Dark” will premier in October at Celebration Cinema in Grand Rapids, with additional showings at the Woodland Mall.

If you want to take a peek at the action today, you can catch the zombie walk from noon – 4 p.m. on Wabash Court NE south of Coit and east of Jupiter Avenue.

Oh dear lord! How stupid…Isn't that how people are in Grand Rapids anyway?
Bet it will be a big old floppola!
I mean, All this zombie garbage has been done over and over again-
Starting with George Romero…Talk about beating a subject to "death"-
I could not believe when the GOVT CDC got into this whole thing by saying there would be a "zombie apocalypse"
at first I thought it was a joke- But No! Those putz's were serious…Kind of ruined their credibility with the sane folk IMO! Blurring the line between fact and fiction, = mental illness.
Another zombie film just shows how these people have no creativity- They have to reiterate the same stuff that was done decades ago and Grand Rapids doing this just shows how desperate you all are!
Glad I left that ridiculous city and state- ding a ling a ling!
