Home Damaged in Early-Morning House Fire

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. — A home has been damaged in a fire early Thursday morning, and crews are already saying it was intentionally-set.

It started at around 4:30 a.m. at a residence on 6th Street in Muskegon Heights.

Crews had the fire controlled in under an hour.  The home was vacant, and there was no power our gas turned on at the structure, leading Chief Christopher Dean to believe that this was intentionally-set.  Chief Dean also said the home is owned by the county.

No injuries were reported at the scene.  This fire remains under investigation.
