Power Goes Out In Eastern Ottawa County

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — Thousands of residents lost electrical service Sunday afternoon.

At 2:05 p.m. Sunday, power was knocked out to 3,638 Consumers Energy customers in east-central Ottawa County. The area affected is bounded by Lake Michigan Avenue on the north, Jenison on the east, Port Sheldon Street on the south and Blendon Township on the west.

Consumers has a crew en route to the scene and does not yet have an estimated time for the electricity to be restored. 

Consumers said there is no cause for the outage at this time.
