Wyoming Man Faces More Charges After Being Arrested For Accosting Minors

screen-shot-2013-07-01-at-2-08-49-pmWYOMING, Mich. — According to the Wyoming Police department 42-year-old Chad Servis faces more charges in connection with a June 29 incident involving minors. Servis was charged with two counts of accosting children after he allegedly approached three underage boys at Ideal Park Saturday, June 29, and asked them to come with him to a different location. An analysis of Servis’ computer files led to the additional charges which include:

  • COUNT 1: Using a computer to commit a crime (4-year felony)
  • COUNT 2: Possession of Sexually Abusive Material (4-year felony)
  • COUNT 3: Possession of Sexually Abusive Material (4-year felony)
  • Habitual Offender – Third Offense Notice  

Servis was released after posting bond on the initial accosting charges and was awaiting a preliminary hearing when the evidence was obtained and additional charges were filed. Servis was taken back into police custody on July 25, 2013. He was arraigned on July 26 in the Wyoming 62A District Court and remains lodged at the Kent County Jail on a $250,000 cash only bond pending his preliminary hearing scheduled for August 7 at 1:00 p.m.
