KALAMAZOO, Mich.- A house in Kalamazoo has been left with major damage on Saturday morning after an overnight house fire. It happened in the 2300 block of Sheffield Drive just before one a.m.
A neighbor saw smoke and fire coming from the house and called 911. When firefighters got to the scene, they found flames coming out of the walkout basement in the back. They were able to put it out in about an hour.
The family wasn’t home at the time and no one was hurt in the blaze. Investigators are still looking for a cause and are asking you to call the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 269-337-8994 if you have any information.
