Man Robs McDonald’s Drive-Thru at Gunpoint

11-23-12 Hostage scene grpdGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man armeed with a handgun walked up to a McDonald’s drive-thru, reached in the window, and grabbed some money before running off.

The robbery happened at around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday at the McDonald’s located at 1240 South Division Avenue, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.

A man wearing a dark hoodie pulled over his head walked up to the drive-thru, pointed the gun at an employee, and ran off with an unknown amount of money.

Police attempted to track him, but were unsuccessful.  The case remains under investigation.

    Ok something sounds like an inside job here as 1st you are told yo never open the window for anyone not in a car not even on a bike.Then they would have to jump half way in to get to the register unless you hand then the money and they have cameras on the drive thru.Yes when you drive up and are talking smack they can see you thats why it is not a good idea.But I believe the person working helped or it was an old employee and that is why the window was open for them either way it will come out soon,
