Thousands to Attend Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — Three large ships arrived in Grand Haven Monday for the annual Coast Guard festival this week.

Two U.S. vessels and one Canadian one made the trip up the channel around 1 p.m. and will be available to tour from 6 to 8 p.m. until Wednesday, July 31.  The USCG cutters Mackinaw and Mobile Bay and a Canadian Coast Guard Hero class patrol boat are among the vessels scheduled to appear.

Thousands are expected to attend the festival, which lasts until Aug. 4.
